Interior Designers -- Colour & Palette
An Artist Who Creates Art to Match Your Colour Palette
I am Leah Justyce. Every artwork I paint is designed around your project's palette and decor style first -- not painted on its own terms and then fitted into a space afterwards.
Enquire About a CommissionWhy matching the palette matters more than matching a subject
A piece of art that is "beautiful" but wrong for the room's palette will always look added, not designed in. The brief a designer actually has is rarely "I want a painting" -- it is "I need something that belongs in this specific room, with this specific palette, at this specific scale." That is the brief I build every commission around.
How the palette-matching process works
It starts with the commission enquiry form below. From there, I contact you directly to talk through the project -- your palette, your decor style, and the kind of art you are picturing, whether that is abstract, seascapes, abstract portraits or florals. The palette and decor style of the space are considered for every project; the art is designed to sit as part of the interior, not added afterwards to fill a gap on the wall. Once we have a direction, I create digital mock-ups of the proposed artwork, and the final pieces are painted to match these mock-ups once you approve them. A deposit is paid before any painting begins.
Sizing, delivery and price
Artworks are created for your space, to your size -- I don't work to a fixed stock size, I create the size your project needs. That might be one statement piece at 200 x 150 cm, or a triptych of three works each at 150 x 100 cm. Depending on the project, finished pieces are sent as one delivery or staged across a few deliveries, because every client's project and timeline is different. As an example of price only: a 100 x 100 cm original acrylic, framed in a float frame (natural or black) and delivered ready to hang, is $3,500 AUD -- your actual price depends on the size and number of pieces your space calls for.

Frequently asked questions
Can an artist create artwork to match my exact colour palette?
Yes. The palette is part of the brief from the first conversation, and nothing is painted until a digital mock-up matching that palette has been approved.
What if I only have a feeling or some reference images, not an exact palette?
That is normal and workable. Leah Justyce talks through your references and the style of art you want -- abstract, seascapes, abstract portraits or florals -- and translates that into a proposed palette and composition for you to approve.
Does palette matching cost more?
No. It is built into the standard process. Every piece is created to the size your space needs; a 100 x 100 cm original at $3,500 AUD, framed and delivered ready to hang, is just a price example, not a fixed size.
How do I start?
Fill out the commission enquiry form below. Leah Justyce will contact you directly to discuss your needs and your palette before any mock-up or painting begins.
